CEO Story

Malinix Founder

In 2005, Nora Martinez arrived in Canada as a caregiver, filled with hope but faced with immense challenges. New to the country and struggling with a physical illness, she found herself without work and living in a shelter. She offered to clean the shelter’s offices in exchange for housing—unknowingly taking her first steps into the cleaning industry.

While cleaning late into the night, she dreamed of one day owning her own cleaning company. To make ends meet, she took on multiple jobs—working as a dietary aide in a nursing home by day and housekeeping at night. She saw an opportunity when the government offered student grants and dove into research, learning how to start a cleaning business from scratch.

From knocking on doors and dropping flyers in mailboxes to landing her first clients organically, Nora built her company, Malinix (previously known as D-Link), step by step. As demand grew, she expanded into commercial cleaning. Today, she leads a team of 20 cleaning specialists, empowering workers—including persons with disabilities—and giving back to her roots in the Philippines through charity initiatives.

Social Responsibility

Beyond cleaning, we’re committed to making a difference—50% of all proceeds of a new contract go to charity initiatives in the Philipines. Explore below the three spaces we are dedicated to in our philanthropic efforts.

We’re proud to support education and children’s health through one of our core initiatives. During the pandemic, we provided weekly meals to students for two years. Today, we continue that mission by donating school supplies like backpacks and notebooks, along with vitamins to boost their immunity. Each year before school starts, we ensure kids in need are equipped to learn, grow, and thrive.

Each year, our founder Nora and her family cook and personally deliver meals to seniors in Pangasinan through our ‘Feeding Month’ program, offering nourishment and care. We also donate clothing, food staples like fish, vegetables, and rice, and provide electric fans to support families in need and improve their daily lives.

Malinix helps provide life-saving medication to those in need. Through our network, including a trusted pharmacist in Manila, we purchase and distribute prescribed medicines for patients battling rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes debilitating joint pain and stiffness. In addition to specialized treatments, we also supply essential vitamins to support overall health and well-being, ensuring those in need have access to vital healthcare resources.
